These do not conduct heat, and are really easy to use. Protect hands when carrying a hot dish. Protect furniture from burn damage. Nicely made. I like them and own several. Recommend.

This is a simple an spartan trivet, useable for insulating against any number of high temperature vessels. When tested against a 500 degree cast iron pan it did a commendable job and did not show any signs of burning. the indent is slightly smaller than the base of the five inch lodge.They smell nice when heated, and will likely last many years.That said they are quite rough, and could use another pass with a sander. This would make for a much more finished product.
